كأنه من ندى القرار مع الـ

ـقُرَّاص أو ما يُنَفِّض السَّكَبُ

As if from the dew of the bottles with the

wine-pourer, or what shakes off the rain,

وانفذ النمل بالصرائم ما

جمع الحاطبون ما اتنشبوا

And the ants carried away the twigs whatever

the wood gatherers have collected and kindled,

ينفضج الجُود من يديه كما

ينفِضج الجود حين ينسَكِبُ

Generosity pours from his hands as

generosity pours when it spills over.
