I went out walking aimlessly, lost in thought,

Through a forest filled with birds and blooms galore.

I caught a whiff of flowers in the shade, newly opened buds

Like darts that chase away Satan's face so dour.

As I spoke unto myself in quiet conversation,

Nothing could dissuade me from plucking one as my condition.

It drew near with gentle grace and spoke so very kindly,

"Do not be afraid, rest easy, today no harm shall find me."

I plucked it carefully from the soil, clump and all,

A paradise of spirits and sweet basil.

In a new place I replanted it, fresh and verdant,

Now it blooms proudly, a vision for all.
