لِكِيرَللسِ المِفْضَالِ رَاعِي رُعَاتِنَا

لِكِيرَللسِ المِفْضَالِ رَاعِي رُعَاتِنَا

مَنَاقِبُ أَعْلامِ الهُدَى وَأُولِي العَزْمِ

مَنَاقِبُ أَعْلامِ الهُدَى وَأُولِي العَزْمِ

To Cyril the munificent, shepherd of our shepherds, belong

the virtues of the luminaries of guidance and the steadfast.

تَعَهَّدَ هَذَا الصَّرْحَ بَعْدَ دُثورِهِ

تَعَهَّدَ هَذَا الصَّرْحَ بَعْدَ دُثورِهِ

فَجَدَّدَهُ مُسْتَكْمِلُ الوَضْعِ وَالرَّسْمِ

فَجَدَّدَهُ مُسْتَكْمِلُ الوَضْعِ وَالرَّسْمِ

He tended this edifice after it had fallen into ruin,

then renewed it, perfecting its form and design.

يُطَاوِلُ أَبْرَاجَ السَّمَاءِ وَتَنْجَلِي

يُطَاوِلُ أَبْرَاجَ السَّمَاءِ وَتَنْجَلِي

بِتَارِيخِهِ شَمْسُ الفَضِيلَةِ وَالعِلْمِ

بِتَارِيخِهِ شَمْسُ الفَضِيلَةِ وَالعِلْمِ

It rivals the towers of heaven in height, and there shines forth

through its chronogram the sun of virtue and learning.
