Indeed, those in whose breasts sickness lies,
and death confronts them with a dust-darkened face,
look to their brothers to come to their aid,
and the reward with God belongs to whoever hastens first.
What would it cost the generous giver, from his bounty,
to do some good, when he is safe and will suffer no harm?
The best of humankind is one who, though powerful, is kind to them;
and the worst of them has power, yet does no good.
Your giving is a blessing for you, and a mercy;
for its slightest part, you will be rewarded with far more.
