يَا أَيُّها الْخَافِقُ فَوْقَ هَامِنَا

أَشْرِفْ وَدُمْ فَوْقَ الْبُنُودِ بَنْدَا

O fluttering one above our sanctuary

Overlook and hover above the flags a flag

أَنْتَ الَّذِي صُنْتَ الْحِمَى وَأَهْلَهُ

قَبْلاً وَحَرَّرْتَ النُّفُوسَ بَعْدَا

You who protected the sanctuary and its people

Before and liberated souls after

أَنْتَ الَّذِي بَعَثْتَنَا مِنَ الرَّدَى

وَجِئْتَنَا بِالْفَخْرِ مُسْتَرَدَّا

You who roused us from misery

And brought us pride to reclaim

أَنْتَ الَّذِي تُقْبِسُ كُلَّ خَامِدٍ

إِيمَانَهُ مِنَ اليَقِينِ وَقْدَا

You who sparks every fading

Faith with certainty and fervor

أَنْتَ الَّذِي تَجْلُو الهِلاَلَ زَاهِراً

فِي كُلِّ حِينٍ وَالسَّمَاءَ وَرْدَا

You who unveils the crescent blossoming

In every era with skies of roses

أَنْتَ الَّذِي تَتْرُكُ أَنْوَارَ الضُّحَى

حَوَاسِداً مِنْكَ الظِّلاَلَ الرُّبْدَا

You who leaves the lights of morn

As envious shadows, frosted

طَاوِلْ فَمَا فَيْئُكَ إِلاَّ أُمَّةٌ

مِلءُ البِلاَدِ قَادَةً وَجُنْدا

Aspire, your only yield a nation

Filling the countries with leaders and troops

أَحْلاَسُ حَرْبٍ حُلَفَاءُ حِكْمَةٍ

فِي السِّلْمِ غُرٌّ هِمَّةٌ وَرَفْدَا

War councils, allies of wisdom

Fierce resolve and ample aid in peace

فِي مِثْل هَذَا العِيدِ عاهَدْنَاكَ لَمْ

نَكْذِبْكَ وَالْيَوْمَ نُعِيدُ الْعَهْدَا

On such a feast we pledged to you, we

Speak no falsehood, today we renew the vow

ذِمَّتُنَا ذِمَّتُنَا عِنْدَ الْعُلَى

وَالفَوْزُ كَانَ للثَّبَاتِ وَعْدَا

Our covenant is our covenant with The Sublime

And victory was for perseverance a promise
