Oh grazing shepherd of the Nile, with abundance

A just provider, free from tyranny

Your benevolence was fair during draught or plenty

No favoring one man over his fellow

You silenced those whom you did not please

When you made justice the scale's measure

A tribe greeted you at the frontier and you dwelt

Among them in the most glorious place

You were given charge of their affairs altogether

So to you from them is owed all gratitude
