يَا مَنْ شَكَاتُكَ فِي القُلُوبِ جِرَاحُ

بِشَفَاءِ جِسْمِكَ طَابَتِ الأَرْوَاحُ

O you whose sorrows in hearts are wounds

With the healing of your body, souls prospered

هِيَ مِحْنَةٌ عَرَضَتْ لِتَكْمُلَ بَعْدَهَا

لَكَ بَهْجَةُ الأَيَّامِ وَالأَفْرَاحُ

It is an ordeal that befell to perfect after it

For you the delight of days and joys

إِنْ تَعْظُمِ السَّرَّاءُ فَهْيَ رَهِينَةٌ

بِإِجَازَةِ الضَّرَّاءِ ثُمَّ تُتَاحُ

If ease is magnified, it is hostage

To the permission of adversity, then it is attained

لاَ كَانَ بَعْدَ الآنِ إِلاَّ مَا يَرَى

لَكَ فِي الوُجُودِ الطَّالِعُ المِسْمَاحُ

There will be after now only what is seen

For you in existence the rising forgiver

الخَيْرُ حَوْلَكَ وَالمَعَالِي سُلَّمٌ

تَرقَى ذُرَاهَا وَالزَّمَانُ فَلاَحُ

Goodness is around you and the high values are a ladder

You climb its rungs and time triumphs
