وَمَنْ كَحَبِيبٍ عَادِلِ الْخُلْقِ صَادِقٍ

لَهُ فِعْلُ مَا يُرْجَى وَلَيْسَ لَهُ وَعْدُ

And those with a just and honest friend

Will find their hopes are answered, though no promise was made

أَخُو تَرَفٍ قَدْ تَعْرِفُ الخَيلُ بَأْسَهُ

وَيَحْفَظُ مِن آرَاءِهِ الطَّودُ وَالوَهدُ

A noble brother, whose warhorse is known for its courage

And whose views make strongholds and tribes secure
