لَقدْ أَمَرَتْ بِارْتِقَابِ الهِلالِ

وَقَدْ حَانَ مَوْعِدُهُ المُنْتَظَرْ

She commanded to await the crescent moon

And its expected time had come

فَأَبْصَرْتُهُ وَهِيَ فِي جَانِبِي

فَكَان الهِلاُل وَكَانَ القَمَرْ

So I saw it by my side
