Whatever I may forget of the sweetness of my life,
I shall not forget my wedding day,
nor the splendor of my bridal procession
and the magnificence of the celebration,
nor the glances of my peers
as they wished themselves in my place—
the day my soul grew serene
upon meeting the one who loves me.
May God, then, safeguard my happiness
and preserve what He has given me.
