جَمَالُكِ زَادَ رَوْعَتَهُ

مِزَاجُ الشَّرْقِ وَالْغَرْبِ

مِزَاجُ الشَّرْقِ وَالْغَرْبِ

Your beauty’s splendor was heightened

by the blending of East and West,

وَزَانَتْ فِتْنَةُ الإِفْرِنْـ

وَزَانَتْ فِتْنَةُ الإِفْرِنْـ

ـجِ فِيهِ عِفَّة الْعُرْبِ

ـجِ فِيهِ عِفَّة الْعُرْبِ

and the allure of the Franks adorned it;

within it dwells the chastity of the Arabs.
