A glance from God suffices him—
God has enfolded him in care—
and that this august prince
is his refuge amid oppression.
A sovereign who built an edifice of glory
and lifted its roof toward the star;
his purpose is beyond all rivalry,
and his judgment cannot be called foolish.
Lofty with a mighty loftiness,
above all foolish affairs,
with everything that brings benefit
to the East, he extends his hand.
I conduct my poem to him in bridal procession,
and its pride is that I conduct it to him.
