هَنِيئاً يَا إِمِيلُ فَقَدْ تَجَلَّتْ

لِفَضْلِ اللهِ عِنْدَكَ آيَتَانِ

Congratulations, Emil—for there have now appeared

With you two signs of God’s bounty.

يَنَالُ عِنَايَةً مَنْ كَانَ أَهْلاً

وَلِلْسَّمَحِ الكَرِيمِ عِنَايَتَانِ

Whoever is worthy receives one favor,

And for the openhanded, noble one, there are two.
