إنَّا نُحَيِّي حَفْلَكُمْ وَيُسُرُّنَا
تِكْرَارُهُ فِي العَامِ بَعْدَ العَامِ
We salute your gathering and we are pleased
To repeat it year after year
هَذَا التَّآلُفُ بَيْنَكُمْ عَنْوَانُ مَا
نَرْجُوهُ لِلنَّشءِ العَزِيزِ النَّامِي
This harmony amongst you is a sign of what
We hope for the dear rising generation
سِيرُوا مَعاً مُتَكَاتِفِينَ عَلَى هُدىً
وَرِدُوا الحَيَاةَ بِعِفَّةٍ وَنِظِامِ
March together, united, on guidance
And bring life back with chastity and order
مَا لِلضِّعَافِ سِوَى تَكَافُلِهِمْ إِذَا
مَا وَاجَهُوا الغَمَرَاتِ فِي الأَقْوَامِ
The weak have nothing but their solidarity when
They face torrents among nations
وَاللهُ يَكْلأُكُمْ وَيَرْعَى كُلَّ مَنْ
يَعْنِي بِكُمْ مِنْ مُشْرِفِينَ كِرَامِ
May God protect you and tend to all those
Who care for you, honourable nobles
فِي ظِلِّ زَيْنِ شَبَابِ مِصْرَ وَمَنْ لَهُ
فِي الشَّرْقِ أَجْمَعِهِ أَعَزِّ مَقَامِ
In the shadow of the beauty of Egypt's youth and he who
Has the most honoured position in all of the East
مَلِكٌ عَمِيمُ الخَيْرِ فِي أَكْنَافِهِ
وَالعَيْشُ عَيْشُ سَعَادَةٍ وَسَلامِ
A king, abundant in goodwill in his bosom
And life is a life of happiness and peace
هَذَا إِلَى إِنَّا حَمَدْنَا مِنْكُمُ
آياتِ وُدٍّ خَالِصٍ وَذِمَامِ
This is in addition to we have praised in you
Signs of sincere affection and perseverance
لأخٍ لَكُمْ وَلَّى وَخَلَّفَ بَيْنَكُمْ
فَضَلَ الرَّئِيسِ الأَوَّلِ المِقْدَامِ
For a brother of yours who turned away and left between you
The excellence of the first valiant president
مَا زَالَ هَنْرِي فِي سَوَادِ قُلُوبِكُمْ
يُلْقِي الضِّيَاءَ بِوجْهِهِ البَسَّامِ
Henry still shines light in your hearts
With his radiant face
يَا فُلْذَةَ الكَبِدِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ
آمَالِنَا فِيهِ سِوَى الآلامِ
Oh piece of my liver that nothing remains for us
Of our hopes in him but agony
بَيْنَ الَّذِينَ عَرَفْتُهُمْ وَأَلَفْتُهُمْ
إِذَ كُنْتُمُ الزَّهْرَاتِ فِي الأَكْمَامِ
Among those whom I knew and befriended
When you were blossoms in buds
إِخْوَانُ صُدْقٍ حَدَّدُوا لِحَبِيبِهِمْ
عَهْداً سَيَبْقَى آخِرَ الأَيَّامِ
Brothers of sincerity who pledged to their beloved
A promise that will remain until the last days
شَتَّانَ بَيْنَ نُضَارَةٍ مَوْقُوتَةٍ
فَارَقْتَهَا وَنُضَارَةٍ لِدَوامِ
Far apart is freshness with an end
You left it and lasting freshness
إِيمانُنَا بِخُلُودِ نَفْسِكَ فِي العُلَى
يَأْسُو جَوَانِحَنَا وَهُنَّ دَوَامِ
Our faith in the eternity of your soul in the Highest
Grieves our sentiments and weakens endurance
وَعَزَاؤُنَا هُوَ مُلْتَقَى أَرْوَاحِنَا
بِالذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ تَشَتُّتِ الأَجْسَامِ
And our solace is the meeting of our souls
With remembrance after the scattering of bodies
