O moment of Eid, what did you see
In this standing of ours
Of all that Egypt ever created
In its type or genre?
It excelled in ornaments and crafts
And taste perfected its arrangement
In the eye, a tear that joy permits today to shed
For shadow has shrunk
Cast on the rain its drizzle
And the star of bliss rises
To unveil that screen
A speech supported until
You wished, O Egypt, to spend it
To God your people march
Truly and steady their advance
Only does the people do justice
When they validate its half
A precious opening congratulated
In the opening of this chamber
