لاَ غَرْوَ أَنَّ مَلِيكَ وَادِي النِّيلِ

أَهْدَى إِلَيْكَ وِسَامَ اسمَعِيلِ

No wonder the king of the Nile Valley

Has bestowed upon you the Order of Ismail

أَنْتَ الوَزِيرُ مِنَ القَلِيلِ وَنَحْنُ فِي

زَمَنٍ بِهِ الوُزَرَاءُ غَيْرُ قَلِيل

You are the minister among the few

While we live in a time abundant with ministers

هِبَةٌ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ العَظِيمِ بِذَاتِهِ

جَاءَت مَعَ التَّعْظِيمِ وَالتَّبْجِيل

A gift to the great man in his essence

Came with veneration and esteem

وَيَدٌ لِسيِّدِ مِصْرَ عِنْدَ يَدٍ بَنَت

دُسْتُورَها لِلْجِيلِ بَعْدَ الجِّيلِ

And a hand to the lord of Egypt by the hand that built

Its constitution for generations after generations

هُوَ أَحْمدُ السَّمَحُ الَّذِي فِي وَرْدهِ

مِنْ كُلِّ مَحْمِدَةٍ شِفَاءُ غَلِيلِ

It is Ahmed the benign whose roses

Contain cure from every affliction
