1. يَا أَمِيراً دَعَا وَمَنْ لا يُلَبِّي

    فَرِحاً إِنْ دَعَا الأَمِيرُ الكَرِيمُ

    O prince who calls and he who does not respond

    Is happy when the generous prince calls

  2. أَيُّ حَفْلٍ فَخْمٍ تَوَسَّطَتْ فِيهِ

    وَالسُّرَاةُ الشُّهُودُ عِقْدٌ نَظِيمُ

    What splendid and glorious gathering you presided over

    With the nobles as witnesses, an organized necklace

  3. هَهُنَا يُكَرَّمُ الرَّئِيسَانِ لَكِنْ

    لِبِلادَيْنِ ذَلِكَ التَّكْرِيمُ

    That honor is for both countries

    Between Greece and Egypt there are bonds

  4. بَيْنَ إِغْرِيقيَا وَمِصْرَ صِلاتٌ

    مِنْ وِدَادٍ تَارِيخُهُنَّ قَدِيمُ

    Of old affection, its history is ancient

    Each neighbor traded with her sister what

  5. قَايَضَتْ كُلُّ جَارَةٍ أُخْتَهَا مَا

    أَبْدَعَتْهُ فُنُونُهَا وَالعَلُومُ

    Her arts and sciences created

  6. وَعَلَى الدَّهْرِ ظَلَّتَا للتَّآخِي

    مُتَداعٍ وَلا الأَوَاخِي رَمِيمُ

    Affectionate, with no fading friendship

    That is an enduring pact despite calamities

  7. ذَاكَ عَهْدٌ بَاقٍ بِرَغْمِ العَوَادِي

    وَمِنْ الخَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَيَدُومُ

    And it is good that it will last

  8. حَبَّذَا يَا كنَانَةَ اللهِ مَا

    يَلقَاهُ مِنْ عَطْفِكِ الوَلِيُّ الحَمِيمُ

  9. لَيْسَ بِدْعاً أَنْ تُقَدِّرِيهِ بِحَقٍّ
