1. مَضَيْتِ وَكُنْتِ دُنْيَاكِ رُوحاً

    مُعَذَّبَةً وَمَوْطِنُهَا السَّماءُ

    You passed away, you were my world's soul

    Tormented, and heaven was its abode

  2. وَكُنْتِ مِنَ الودَادِ مَكَانَ أُخْتي

    وَكَانَ مُقَدَّساً ذَاكَ الإِخَاءُ

    You were to me a sister in affection

    Sacred was that fraternity

  3. نُعَزِّي عَنْكِ أَبْنَاءً كِرَاماً

    وَهُمْ لِقُلُوبِنَا عُنْكِ الْعَزَاءُ

    We console your noble children

    They are to our hearts consolation for you
