ديرا فكان بما بناه الأولا

فلمصر مفخرة على الأقوام في

تقديمها ذاك المثال الأمثلا

So Egypt prides itself over nations in

Presenting that finest example

يا من أعاد اليوم ذكرى فضله

ونضا عن الحق الحجاب المسبلا

O you who revived today the memory of its grace

And lifted from the truth the trailing veil

للدين والوطن اغتباط بالذي

جدت من مجد تحيفه البلى

For religion and nation there is joy in what

Its glory, worn by time, has found of new glory
