O prince of hearts, may God protect you

And care for you, O prince of hearts

You are the epitome of all princes in nobility and merit

And loftiness, and you are the beloved of all

None hate you except the enemies whose swords are bloodied

And whose spears are reddened like dye

And it is wonderful that you make peace

Just as you waged war in battles before

You captivate those who refuse and take the hearts of loved ones

And every captive craves your pleasure

Your face is radiant and it is a light that appeared

On a crescent moon at the start of graying hair

Always a mirror of sincerity in serenity

For the serenity in a soul without corruption

In you are the most virtuous traits in which

The fruits of the gifted and the earned grow

In you are clemency and generosity by nature

Nothing strange for the Hashimite family

And of knowledge you have the greatest share

Balanced by the like of cultivation

This is an image I composed, framing its crescent moon

In a frame narrower than what it deserves

The eye glanced at it fleetingly and showed

A hint of your magnificent beloved self

Egypt prides itself on the rising of its just ruler

And wise governor above fault or doubt

It welcomes whatever eloquent guest visits

Whose stature cannot be matched and whatever man of letters

A shining light towards which lyrics bow down

    Humbly before the revered tribune

O you visitor whom it encounters, greeting warmly

Wherever you arrive with a welcome

We are a people whom your sublime kindness has honored

And who have attained a share of its bounty

Among them your neighbor, yet it is no wonder

A stranger stays protected by a stranger

It was generous of you to allow them on

A day of prosperity a glimpse from up close

Their gratitude, as you saw, reveals clearly

The trace of rain in fertile soil

O prince of hearts, may God protect you

And care for you, O prince of hearts
