1. يَا جَنَّةً أَهْدَتْ إِلَيَّ سَلاما

    أَهْدَيْتِ بَرْداً لِلحَشَى وَسَلامَا

    O paradise, you brought me peace

    You gifted me coolness for my heart and tranquility

  2. فِي العِدْوَةِ العُلْيَا جَلَسْتِ مَلِيكَةً

    بِالعِزِّ وَالإِجْلالِ تَأْبَى الذَّامَا

    You sat enthroned in the highest spot

    With glory and reverence, refusing blame

  3. بَسَطَتْ عَلَى العَبْرَيْنِ رَايَةَ فَخْرِهَا

    وَعَدَا الأَجَارِعَ فَيْئُهَا وَتَرَامَى

    You unfurled over the meadows your banner of pride

    And your tents stretched over the dunes

  4. أَجْرَيْتِ وَادِيكِ المُبَارَكَ بِالنَّدَى

    وَرَكِبْتِ مِنْ مَتْنِ الفَخَارِ سَنَامَا

    You brought your blessed valley the dew

    And rode the peak of glory sublime

  5. فِي كُلِّ مُشْتَرَفٍ جَمَالُكِ رَائِعٌ

    نَثَرَ البَدِيعَ وَصَاغَ مِنْهُ نِظَامَا

    In every splendid vista your beauty shines

    Scattering wonders, composing harmony

  6. وَعَلَى ذُرَاكِ مِنَ الصُّنُوبَرِ غَابَةٌ

    تُحْيِي النُّفُوسَ وَتُبْرِيءُ الأَسْقَامَا

    Upon your cedars is a forest

    That revives souls and heals the sick

  7. مَنْ يَسْتَظِلُّ بِهَا وَلَيْسَ بِمُلْهَمٍ

    تُلْقِي عَلَيْهِ ظِلالُهَا الإِلْهَامَا

    He who rests in its shade, divinely inspired

    Is cast over by its shading, filled with visions

  8. حُييْتِ مِنْ بَلَدٍ أَمِينٍ طَيِّبٍ

    حَسُنَتْ مَرَابِعُهُ وَطَابَ مُقَامَا

    You came from a safe, good land

    Well-designed are your dwellings, pleasant is the stay

  9. يَلْقَى الأَحِبَّةَ بِالمَنَازِلِ رَحْبَةً

    وَالرَّوْضُ نَضْراً وَالضُّحَى بَسَّامَا

    Where loved ones are welcomed in spacious homes

    The meadows lush, the mornings bright

  10. أَهْلُوهُ فِي حُلْوِ الزَّمَانِ وَمُرِّهِ

    لا يَبْرَحُونَ كَمَا عَرَفْتَ كِرَامَا

    They enjoy it, in good times and bad

    As you know, they are generous, they remain

  11. لَمْ أُلْفِ إِلاَّ عَاقِلاً مُتَأَدِّباً

    فِيهِمْ وَإِلاَّ سَاعِياً مِقْدَامَا

    None I've known but wise and cultured

    Or striving, daring, bold

  12. مَنَحُوا الجَدِيدَ مِنَ المَفَاخِرِ حَقَّهُ

    وَرَعَوْا لِعَهْدِهِمُ القَدِيمِ ذِمَامَا

    They've given new glories their due

    And guarded the honor of old ways

  13. هِمَمٌ إِلَى غَايَاتِهَا وَثَّابَةٌ

    تُجْرِي الصَّفَا وَتُنَضَّرُ الآكَامَا

    Their ambitions set on high goals

    Channeling the good, nurturing fellow men

  14. تَبْغِي النَّجَاحِ سَبِيلُهُ مَشْرُوعَةٌ

    وَتُجَانِبُ الأَوْزَارَ وَالآثَامَا

    The prudent among them achieve

    What they desire, excelling in deeds

  15. فِي كُلِّ مَيْمُونِ النَّقِيبَةِ حَازِمٍ

    يَأْتِي المَسَاعِي مَا أَرَدْنَ جِسَامَا

    They build and plant, never fall short

    In duty or overspeak their part

  16. يَبْنِي وَيَغْرِسُ لا يُقَصِّرُ عَنْ مَدَى

    فِي المَطْلَبَيْنِ وَلا يُطِيلُ كَلامَا

    A people, young and old alike

    Who grow and prosper, thanks to your grace

  17. قَوْمٌ بِمِثْلِ شَبَابِهِمْ وَشُيُوخِهِمْ

    يُنْمِي وَيُسْعِدُ رَبَّكَ الأَقْوَامَا

    I praise them, loyally grateful

    Though words hardly match my esteem

  18. أُثْنِي عَلَيْهِمْ وَالوَفَاء بِشُكْرِهِمْ

    مِمَّا يَعِزُّ عَلَى القَرِيضِ مَرَامَا

    All welcomed me, starting with the president

    And director, both noble in rank

  19. قَدْ أَكْرَمُونِي مُقْبِلِينَ وَكُلهُمْ

    أَوْلَى بِأَنْ يَتَقبَّلَ الإِكْرَامَا

    Those visiting from distant lands

    Honored me greatly with their presence

  20. وَأَخُصُّ بِالمَدْحِ الرَّئِيسَ مُقَدَّماً

    فِيهِمْ بِحَقٍّ وَالمُدِيرَ هُمَامَا

    They have ennobled affection's worth

    Glorifying the page and the pen

  21. وَالوَافِدِينَ إِليَّ مِنْ أَوْطَانِهِمْ

    يُولُونَنِي فَضْلاً بِذَاكَ عُظَامَا

  22. إِنْ شَرَّفُوا قَدْرَ الوِدَادِ فَإِنَّهُمْ

    لَمُشَرِّفُونَ الصحْفَ وَالأَقْلامَا
