1. لِمِصْرَ الجَدِيدَةِ عِيدٌ سَعِيدٌ

    تَجَلَّى بِهَذَا النَّهَارِ الوَسِيمِ

    For Egypt the new, a joyous feast

    Dawns on this beautiful day

  2. وَزَادَ مَحَاسِنَ زِينَاتِهِ

    صَفَاءُ السَّمَاءِ وَلُطْفُ النَّسِيمِ

    The clear sky and gentle breeze

    Add to her embellishments and display

  3. أَلَسْتَ تَرَاهَا وَقَدْ أَقْبَلَتْ

    تُرَحِّبُ بِالبَطْرِيرْكِ العَظِيمِ

    Do you not see her welcoming

    The great Patriarch in grandeur

  4. بِمَكْسِيمُسَ الرَّابِعِ المُجْتَبَى

    بِرَاعِي الرُّعَاةِ الرَّشِيدِ الحَكِيمِ

    Maximus the Fourth, the chosen

    The wise and steadfast shepherd

  5. تَلَقَّتْ طَوَائِفُهَا رَكْبَهُ

    وَقَدْ زَارَهَا بِالسُّرُورِ العَمِيمِ

    Her denominations receive him

    As he visits in abundant cheer

  6. فَفِي الحَفْلِ صَفْوَةُ حُكَّامِهَا

    وَأَعْيَانِهَا كَالجُمَانِ النَّظِيمِ

    The elite of her governors are present

    Like well-aligned pearls so dear

  7. وَخَيْرُ وُفُودِ التُّقَى وَاليَقِينِ

    وَنُخْبَةُ أَهْلِ النُّهَى وَالحُلُومِ

    The best of the devout and faithful

    The choice of the virtuous and calm

  8. وَنَشْءِ المَدارِسِ وَالقَائِمُونَ

    بِنَشْرِ الفُنُونِ بِهَا وَالعُلُومِ

    The students of schools and those upholding

    Education and knowledge with their palm

  9. يُؤَدُّونَ مُفْترضاً لِلعُلَى

    بِتَكْرِيمِ ذَاكَ العَمِيدِ الكَرِيمِ

    Performing the duty of honoring

    That noble and generous supreme

  10. لَهُ اللهُ مِنْ مُصْلِحٍ صَالِحٍ

    وَمِنْ لَوْذَعِيٍّ عَزُومِ جَزُومِ

    May God grant him from each reformer

    And unwavering, resolute regime

  11. وَمِنْ ذِي مَضَاءٍ وَمِنْ ذِي إِباءٍ

    وَمِنْ أَرِيْحِيٍّ جَوَادٍ رَحِيمِ

    One of illumination and determination

    A merciful, generous, and kind

  12. وَمِنْ مُسْرِفٍ فِي النَّدَى وَالفِدَى

    لِكُلِّ لَهِيفٍ وَكُلِّ مَضِيمِ

    One who is generous in bounty and ransom

    For every destitute and confined

  13. وَمِنْ مُتَقَاضٍ شَدِيدِ المِرَاسِ

    وَمِنْ مُتَغَاضٍ غَفُورٍ رَحِيمِ

    One who is firm in his request

    Yet forgiving and lenient at the same time

  14. أَمَوْلايَ حَسْبُكَ مَجْدٌ بِهِ

    تُجَدِّدُ مَجْدَ الزَّمَانِ القَدِيمِ

    My Lord, your glory is enough

    To renew past glory and prime

  15. لِيَمْنَحْكَ رَبُّكَ عُمْراً مَدِيداً

    وَيُبْلِغْكَ كُلَّ نَجَاحٍ مَرُومِ

    May your Lord grant you a long life

    And every desired success made secure

  16. وَيَا مَلِكاً أَدْرَكَتْ مِصرُهُ

    بِهِ عِزَّةَ الشَّمْسِ بَيْنَ النُّجُومِ

    O King, Egypt has attained through you

    The glory of the sun amidst stars pure

  17. لَقَدْ كُنْتَ أَكْفَى حُمَاةِ الذِّمَارِ

    وَأَوَّلَهُمْ فِي الطَّرِيقِ القَوِيمِ

    Indeed, you were the best guardian of order

    And foremost on the straight path

  18. سَيَنْصُرُكَ الله نَصْراً عَزِيزاً

    وَيَخذِلُ كُلَّ عَدُوٍّ أَثِيمِ

    God will give you a mighty victory

    And humiliate every wicked enemy's wrath
