يَا دُعَاةَ العُلَى كَفَى مَا يُسَامُ

مِنْ مَسَاعٍ ذَاكَ السَّرِيُّ الهُمَامُ

O callers to loftiness, enough of what saddens

The secretive, ambitious one with those struggles

أَتْعَبَ العَالَمِينَ فِي العَيْشِ

ذُو النَّفْسِ الَّتِي يَسْتَفِزُّهَا الإِقْدَامُ

He has wearied the two worlds in life

With a soul that is provoked by daring

حَمَلَتْكَ الْعُقَابُ مَحْمَلَ يُمْنٍ

تَسْلُكُ الجَوَّ وَالطَّرِيقُ الغُمَامُ

Misfortune has carried you very graciously

You traverse the atmosphere, and the path is cloudy

لَمْ تَعِقْ سَيْرَهَا البِحَارُ وَلا

الأَنْهَارُ فِيهِ وَلا الرُّبَى وَالأَكَامُ

Neither seas, nor rivers therein, nor meadows nor dunes

وَتُؤْمُّ العِرَاقَ فَأَظْفِرْ بِأَسْنَى

مَا يُلاقِي بِهِ الكَرِيمَ الكِرَامُ

إِنَّ دَارَ السَّلامِ وَالمَلِكِ إلا

رَوْعِ فِيهَا دَارٌ عَلَيْهَا السَّلامُ

Indeed the abode of peace and the King is only

قُلْ لَهُ حِينَ تَجْتَلِي وَجْهُهُ

البَسَّامَ وَالسَّعْدُ وَجْهُهُ البَسَّامُ

Say to him when his face glistens

The smiling one, and prosperity - his face is smiling

مِصْرُ تَرْعَى ذِمَامَهُ وَتُحْيِّي

كُلَّ بَرْقٍ مِنْ السَّوَادِ يشَامُ

Egypt takes care of its reins and revives

وَتَرَى بِعْثَةَ العِرَاقِ فَتَرْجُو

لِلْبَلَدَيْنِ أَنْ يَتِمَّ المَرَامُ

فِي البَوَادِي وَفِي الحَوَاضِرِ عَهْدٌ

حَفَظَتْهُ لِهَاشِمٍ وَذِمَامُ

وَلَهُ فِي القُلُوبِ تَاجٌ سَنِيٌّ

وَلِوَاءٌ عَالٍ وَعَرْشٌ مُقَامُ

مَلَكَتْ فَيْصَلاً مَقَادَتْهَا

أَخْلاقُهُ الغِرُّ وَالفِعَالُ الجِسَامُ
