يَا مُنَى الْقَلْبِ وَنُورَ العَـ
ـيْنِ مُذْ كُنْتُ وَكُنْتِ
O solace of my heart, light of my eyes
Since you and I have been
لَمْ أَشَأْ أَنْ يَعْلَمَ النَّا
سُ بِمَا صُنْتُ وَصُنْتِ
I never wished for people to know
What I have kept safe, and you have kept safe
وَلِمَا حَاذَرْتُ مِنْ فِطْـ
ـنَتِهِمْ فِينَا فَطِنْتِ
And why I was wary of their prying
Into you and I, you were perceptive
إِنَّ لَيْلاَيَ وَهِنْدِي
وَسُعَادِي مَنْ ظَنَنْتِ
My nights and days of bliss
Are with whoever you thought I was
تَكْثُرُ الأَسْمَاءُ لَـ
ـكِنَّ المُسَمَّى هُوَ أَنْتِ
Names may be many
But she who is named is you alone
