What do the lovers suffer in passion
Of shedding tears and burning inside
In the living quarters, a Bedouin woman shed blood
If not for passion, she wouldn’t have been ruined
A beauty wanders amid the abodes of love
Glances of an eye, in affection and houri
With the coquetry of a branch in the adornments of blossoms
And the beauty of a sun amid the shades of light
The maidens blamed me, so they prevented me
And their people’s rule decreed my loss
They wronged me, and I was blameless, and their
Stabs succeeded in my broken heart
If only this fate would stop troubling me
And would lament the state of the abandoned lover
It would heal the resentment of the passionate
And cure the wounds of the resentful, broken one
