  1. تجري على آمالك الأقدار

    فكأنهن مناك والأوطار

    تأتي الأمور له كما يختار

  3. يا ابن الأعزين الأكارم محتدا

    لك من طريفك للنجار نجار

    O son of the most noble and generous, aspiring,

    You have in your sword a ready sword.

  4. شيم مطهرة وعلم راسخ

    ونهى وجاه واسع وفخار

    Virtuous traits, established knowledge,

    Advice, glory, and abundant pride.

  5. ومكارم تحيي المكارم في الملا

    كالبحر منه الصيب المدرار

    And noble deeds that revive nobility in the kingdom,

    Like an abundant sea with flowing water.

  6. يستنبت البلد الموات فيجتلي

    حسن يروق وتجتني أثمار

    It makes the barren land flourish and shine beautifully,

    With fine beauty and ripe fruits.

  7. وبناء مجد مثلته للورى

    هذي القباب الشم والأسوار

    And construction of glory, which you presented to people,

    These lofty domes and walls.

  8. ومآثر سطعت كبعض شعاعها

    هذي الشموس وهذه الأقمار

    And achievements that shone, some of their rays,

    Are these suns and these moons.

  9. وخلائق جملت ولا كجمالا

    هذي الرياض وهذه الأزهار

    And manners all beautiful, but not as beautiful

    As these gardens and these flowers.

  10. لله يوم زفافك الأسنى فقد

    حسدت عليه عصرك الأعصار

    God blessed your wedding day,

    Your time envied all eras.

  11. أشهدت فيه مصر آية بهجة

    أبدا يردد ذكرها السمار

    Egypt witnessed in it a sign of joy,

    Its memory is forever repeated by night talkers.

  12. من عهد إسماعيل لم تر مثلها

    مصر ولم تسمع بها الأمصار

    Since the time of Ishmael it has not seen its like,

  13. جمعت بها التح الجياد قديمها

    وحديثها والعهد والتذكار

  15. واستكملت فيها الطرائف كلها

    فكأنها الدنيا حوتها دار

    And perfected in it all subtleties,

    As if it contained the whole world.

  16. يهنيك يا عمر ابن سلطان الندى

    ليل غدا بالصفو وهو نهار

    Congratulations Omar, son of the sultan of dew,

    The night will pass and it will be day.

  17. زفت به لك من سماء عفافها

    شمس تنكس دونها الأبصار

    From her sky of chastity she brought you

    A sun that dims all sights.

  18. من بيت مجد فارقته فضمها
