In every sense an auspicious refuge

من لي بوصف جمالها وجمالها

يعيي بيان الواصف المجواد

Who can describe its beauty and its beauty

Exhausting the eloquence of the most eloquent poet

يردى ونضر غياضه ورياضه

نعم الحياة تجمعت في واد

Its forests and gardens are lush and verdant

What a good life gathered in this valley

ماذا يريكم من روائع حسنها

تصويرها ببراعة ومداد

What wonders of its beauty do you see

Depicted with skill and ink

كم في الحزون وفي السهول وراءها

عجب يروع نواظر الأشهاد

What marvels in the saddened and plains beyond

Awe the sights of witnesses

آيات تدبيج يتم رواؤها

بتلمع الأنهار في الأرآد

Signs of embroidery completed

By the glitter of rivers on meadows

ويكاد بحر الآل في أطرافها

يشجو السماع بموجه الهداد

And the sea of progeny on its edges

Laments to the listening with its roaring waves

حتى يصير مدى محاسنها إلى

سفح يطوقها بطوق جساد

Until the extent of its beauties reaches

A foothill encircled by a belt of bodies

عال ذراه يلوح فوق بياضها

جمر الغمائم من خلال رماد

Lofty in its sight gleaming above its whiteness

Embers of clouds through rising smoke
