بُورِكْتَ يَا فَارُوقُ مِنْ فَاتِحٍ

وَأَيُّ فَتْحٍ مِثْلُ كَسْبِ الْقُلُوبْ

O Farooq, you were blessed as a conqueror

And what conquest is like winning hearts?

جَدُّكَ بِالرَّأْيِ غَزَا أَمَّةً

قَدْ عَجَزَتْ عَنْهَا سُيوفُ الْحُرُوبْ

Your grandfather by his wisdom conquered a nation

That swords of wars had failed against

شَهِدْتَ مِنْ تَارِيخِهِ قِصَّةً

رَوَائِعُ التَّمْثِيلِ فِيهَا ضُرُوبْ

You witnessed in its history a tale

With a variety of exemplary scenes

وَأَنْتَ مَرْجُوٌ لِيَوْمٍ بِهِ

يَسْمُو بِهِ شَعْبُكَ أَرْقَى الشُّعُوبْ

And you hope for a day in which

Your people will rise above the highest of nations

لِيُوَلِّكَ الْرَّحْمَنُ مِنْ عِزَّةٍ

فِي المُلْكِ مَالاَ تَعْتَريهِ الخُطُوبْ

May the Most Merciful grant you honor

In kingship untouched by tribulations
