O Prince of Upper Egypt, may God protect you
And care for you, O Prince of Upper Egypt
Part of the country has inclined towards another part
Sporting the new lineage
A title with your unmatched name
Inscribed in the beginning of a glorious book
It gave Upper Egypt prominence and revived
What it had missed of tradition
That auspicious rising star
Is good tidings for its inhabitants of a prosperous era
Have the news reached you, riding lightning
Yearning, delayed by the mail
The pulsating heart you stirred
Utters letters melodiously
So when the flash sang what it conveys
The sky sings in refrain
And when its light shines
The horizons beam, near and far
Joy rose in the South but
Encompassed the Nile in its long course
O King, a crescent exalted his grandeur
Where is its good omen from the crescent of Eid
It shook the harbor that he returned reconnected
To his kingdom with a new kingdom
