1. يا سيّدي أَسْعِفْ فَمِي لِيَقُــولا

    في عيدِ مولدِكَ الجميلِ جميلا

    My master, inspire my mouth to eloquently

    Speak on your blessed birthday

  2. أَسْعِفْ فَمِي يُطْلِعْكَ حُـرّاً ناطِفَـاً

    عَسَلاً، وليسَ مُدَاهِنَاً مَعْسُولا

    Inspire my mouth to sincerely express to you

    Sweet as honey, not falsely syrupy

  3. يا أيّـها المَلِـكُ الأَجَلُّ مكانـةً

    بين الملوكِ، ويا أَعَزُّ قَبِيلا

    O exalted king, unparalleled in status

    Amongst kings, O most precious tribe

  4. يا ابنَ الهواشِمِ من قُرَيشٍ أَسْلَفُـوا

    جِيلاً بِمَدْرَجَةِ الفَخَارِ، فَجِيلا

    O descendant of Quraish, the Hashemites preceded

    Generations with honor, so generation after generation

  5. نَسَلُوكَ فَحْلاً عَنْ فُحُـولٍ قَدَّمـوا

    أَبَدَاً شَهِيدَ كَرَامَةٍ وقَتِيلا

    They traced your lineage to fine stallions who

    Ever sacrificed a martyr of dignity

  6. للهِ دَرُّكَ من مَهِيـبٍ وَادِعٍ

    نَسْرٍ يُطَارِحُهُ الحَمَامُ هَدِيلا

    God bless you, you formidable, humble one

    A young hawk the doves murmur about

  7. يُدْنِي البعيدَ إلى القريبِ سَمَاحَـةً

    ويُؤلِّفُ الميئوسَ والمأمُولا

    Your generosity brings the distant one near

    And befriends the despairing and hopeful one

  8. يا مُلْهَمَاً جَابَ الحيـاةَ مُسَائِـلاً

    عَنْها، وعَمَّا أَلْهَمَتْ مَسْؤُولا

    O inspired interlocutor of life’s issues

    And of what has inspired the responsible one

  9. يُهْدِيهِ ضَوْءُ العبقـريِّ كأنَّــهُ

    يَسْتَلُّ منها سِرَّهَا المجهـولا

    The light of genius guides him as though

    He extracts its hidden secret

  10. يَرْقَى الجبالَ مَصَاعِبَاً تَرْقَـى بـهِ

    ويَعَافُ للمُتَحَدِّرينَ سُهولا

    He climbs mountains of difficulties they climb with him

    And paves easy roads for those descending

  11. ويُقَلِّبُ الدُّنيا الغَـرُورَ فلا يَرَى

    فيها الذي يُجْدِي الغُرُورَ فَتِيلا

    He turns over the delusive world but does not see

    In it what benefits the deluded one

  12. يا مُبْرِئَ العِلَلَ الجِسَـامَ بطِبّـهِ

    تَأْبَى المروءةُ أنْ تَكُونَ عَلِيلا

    O curer of bodily illnesses with your medicine

    Manliness refuses to be an invalid

  13. أنا في صَمِيمِ الضَّارِعيـنَ لربِّـهِمْ

    ألاّ يُرِيكَ كَرِيهةً، وجَفِيلا

    I am among the heartfelt supplicants to their Lord

    To never show you disfavor or contempt

  14. والضَّارِعَاتُ مَعِي، مَصَائِرُ أُمَّـةٍ

    ألاّ يَعُودَ بها العَزِيزُ ذَلِيلا

    And the female supplicants are with me, the ways of a nation

    Whose precious one will not return humiliated

  15. فلقد أَنَرْتَ طريقَهَا وضَرَبْتَـهُ

    مَثَلاً شَرُودَاً يُرْشِدُ الضلِّيلا

    You have illuminated its path and made it

    An example for the wandering misguided one

  16. وأَشَعْتَ فيها الرأيَ لا مُتَهَيِّبَـاً

    حَرَجَاً، ولا مُتَرَجِّيَاً تَهْلِيلا

    And instilled in it reason without

    Hesitation or expecting praise

  17. يا سَيِّدي ومِنَ الضَّمِيـرِ رِسَالَـةٌ

    يَمْشِي إليكَ بها الضَّمِيرُ عَجُولا

    My master, and the conscience has a message

    Rushing to you that the conscience carries

  18. حُجَـجٌ مَضَتْ، وأُعِيدُهُ في هَاشِمٍ

    قَوْلاً نَبِيلاً، يَسْتَمِيحُ نَبِيلا

    Excuse my audacity oh Hashimite

    And accept my candid words

  19. يا ابنَ الذينَ تَنَزَّلَتْ بِبُيُوتِـهِمْ

    سوَرُ الكِتَابِ، ورُتّلَتْ تَرْتِيلا

    O descendant of those in whose homes

    The chapters of the Book were revealed and recited

  20. الحَامِلِينَ مِنَ الأَمَانَةِ ثِقْلَـهَـا

    لا مُصْعِرِينَ ولا أَصَاغِرَ مِيلا

    Bearing the weight of the trust

    Without leaning or swerving

  21. والطَّامِسِينَ من الجهالَـةِ غَيْهَبَـاً

    والمُطْلِعِينَ مِنَ النُّهَـى قِنْدِيلا

    Veiling ignorance with darkness

    And shedding the light of guidance

  22. والجَاعِلينَ بُيوتَـهُمْ وقُبورَهُـمْ

    للسَّائِلينَ عَنِ الكِـرَامِ دِلِيلا

    Making their homes and tombs

    A guide to the generous

  23. شَدَّتْ عُرُوقَكَ من كَرَائِمِ هاشِـمٍ

    بِيضٌ نَمَيْنَ خَديجـةً وبَتُولا

    The virtues of Hashim strengthened your determination

    The chastity of Khadija and Fatima grew you

  24. وحَنَتْ عَلَيْكَ من الجُدُودِ ذُؤابَـةٌ

    رَعَتِ الحُسَيْنَ وجَعْفَراً وعَقِيلا

    And the solicitude of your ancestors warmed you

    Who cared for Hussein and Ja’far and Aqil

  25. هذي قُبُورُ بَنِي أَبِيكَ ودُورُهُـمْ

    يَمْلأنَ عرْضَاً في الحِجَازِ وطُولا

    Filling the expanse of the Hejaz end to end

    To visit them was never a childish whim

  26. مَا كَانَ حَـجُّ الشَّافِعِيـنَ إليهِمُ

    في المَشْرِقَيْنِ طَفَالَـةً وفُضُولا

    For the Shafi’is in both Easts

    Yearning settled those who loved their homes

  27. حُبُّ الأُلَى سَكَنُوا الدِّيَـارَ يَشُـفُّهُمْ

    فَيُعَاوِدُونَ طُلُولَها تَقْبِيلا

    And they revisit its hills with kisses

    O son of the Prophet, and kings have a message

  28. يا ابنَ النَبِيّ، وللمُلُـوكِ رِسَالَـةٌ،

    مَنْ حَقَّهَا بالعَدْلِ كَانَ رَسُولا

    Whoever fulfills it justly is an emissary

    I swear by the One who granted you the greatest blessing

  29. قَسَمَاً بِمَنْ أَوْلاكَ أوْفَـى نِعْمَـةٍ

    مِنْ شَعْبِكَ التَّمْجِيدَ والتأهِيلا

    From your people, praise and esteem

    That I was gladdened in your glory’s presence

  30. أَني شَفَيْتُ بِقُرْبِ مَجْدِكَ سَاعَـةً

    من لَهْفَةِ القَلْبِ المَشُوقِ غَلِيلا

    When my ardent heart spilled over

    And you refused favors upon your family

  31. وأَبَيْتَ شَأْنَ ذَوِيـكَ إلاّ مِنَّـةً

    لَيْسَتْ تُبَارِحُ رَبْعَكَ المَأْهُولا

    That do not abandon your populated abode

    You marked me with nobility while the envious plot

  32. فوَسَمْتَني شَرَفَاً وكَيْـدَ حَوَاسِـدٍ

    بِهِمَا أَعَزَّ الفَاضِـلُ المَفْضُولا

    With both I make the mediocre esteem the exceptional

    And soon, my master, you will know

  33. ولسوفَ تَعْرِفُ بعـدَها يا سيّـدي

    أَنِّي أُجَازِي بالجَمِيلِ جَمِيلا

    That I repay kindness with utmost kindness
