  1. ياأيُّها الجيلُ الجديدُ سلامُ

    ألقت إليك بِثْقلِها الأعوامُ

    O new generation, greetings

    The years have burdened you with their weight

  2. ورمْت بكلكلِها عليك فوادحٌ

    مما تجنّى " السادرون " ، جسام

    And disasters have assaulted you with their calamities

    That the tyrants have harvested, their bodies

  3. ألْقْت إليك وأنتَ أشرفُ ناهضٍ

    ثقلَيهمْا الآمال والآلام

    They have burdened you, though you are the noblest pioneer

    With the weight of their hopes and sorrows

  4. فرمى لكَ الماضي الأليم بِوزْرِهِ

    ورنا لكَ المستَقبلُ البسام

    So the painful past has burdened you with its burden

    And the promising future has chanted poems to you

  5. والحاضرُ المرتجّ بينهما شجاً

    وتطُّلعاً تهفو به الأحلام

    And the troubled present wandering between them

    Yearning and dreaming floats upon it

  6. ألقى إليك" الخائنون" نَتاجَ ما

    سدروا وشطوا وارتَعَوْا وأساموا

    The traitors have burdened you with the yield of

    What they conspired, corrupted, tampered with and poisoned

  7. والمخلصون ، رجاؤهم أن تنجلى

    كُرَبٌ وأن يِلد الصباحَ ظلام

    And the loyalists, their hope is that

    Distress will clear and the dawn will give birth to darkness

  8. ياأيُّها الجيلُ الجديدُ وطالما

    لصقت بغير ذواتِها الأعلام

    O new generation, for so long

    Flags have been wrongly attached

  9. ولطالما اشتطّ الطغاةُ وأرجفوا

    للمصلحين وأقعدوا وأقاموا

    For so long tyrants have raged

    Silencing reformers, sitting, standing

  10. سَمَّوكَ " هدّاماً " لأنكَ تَجْتَوي

    ما البغيُ سَنَّ وما جنى الإِجرام

    They called you "destroyer" because you reject

    What injustice cultivated and corruption reaped

  11. ولانك استمت العدالةَ خطةً

    من في يديه النقضُ والإِبرام

    And because you made justice your approach

    From those whose role is abolishing and building

  12. وغضِبت أن تجدَ الرعايا مَغْنَماً

    بيدِ الرُّعاة كأنهم أنعام

    And you were angry to find the subjects as livestock

    In the hands of the shepherds as if they were cattle

  13. وشجبت أنّ الحكم في قاموسِهِمْ

    سوطٌ يشدُّ وشهوة وعُرام

    And you denounced that in their dictionary

    Rule is a whip, desire, and nudity

  14. هوّنْ عليكَ فكلُّ ذلكَ فِريةُُ

    تَفْنى . ويَبْقى السعي والإِقْدام

    Be patient, all of that is nonsense

    That will vanish, and effort and determination will remain

  15. وكذاك كلُّ " مخرّبٍ " لرذيلة

    بانٍ ، وكلُّ " مُعَمِّرٍ " هدّام

    And so is every "destroyer" of vice

    A builder, and every "immortalizer" a destroyer
