O mother of Saad, and the nights go round,
Wondrous, yet nothing conceals the wonder,
We gather as the strolling band around
The pool - each chirping to each murmur.
As though we'd never from thy haunts made way,
No other home, or sport, or jaunt we knew,
Mother of Saad! And as the planets stray,
Each has its West where morning rose in view.
As yesterday, today abides our tent,
A home of friends and hospitality;
Thy sweet serenity and freshness lent
A soft enchantment and good company.
Shall it tomorrow reunite our clan
Or singly must we sever and depart?
Mother of Saad! Though far our paths may span
Memories between us live- they are the heart.
