Did you not ask the augur, if you were truthful,

The morning after the encampment, what the organs of perception told you

About the quickness of departure when their burdens were taken away

As the lizard catcher abandons the sand dunes

Furnishings whose peaks are pastureland, its roots

Watered by the well’s water, a westerly rain cloud pouring down

If you taste its mouth you would say the taste of matured wine

With the seminal fluid of an embryo flowing from it are runnels

A winding channel into which the youths flowed between undulating terrain

And citron trees, between them are fans
