إِنَّ الهُجَيمَ قَبيلَةٌ مَخسوسَةٌ

ثُطُّ اللِحى مُتَشابِهو الأَلوانِ

Indeed, al-Hujaym is a lowly tribe,

The Hujeim are a wretched tribe,

Sparse-bearded and alike in complexion.

With beards all of one color like strips of linen.

لَو يَسمَعونَ بِأَكلَةٍ أَو شَربَةٍ

لَو يَسمَعونَ بِأَكلَةٍ أَو شَربَةٍ

بِعُمانَ أَصبَحَ جَمعُهُم بِعُمانِ

بِعُمانَ أَصبَحَ جَمعُهُم بِعُمانِ

If they heard of a meal or a drink

If they hear of a meal or drink,

In Oman, their whole company would be in Oman by morning.

Their hordes will be there in Oman by morning.
