بِثَغرٍ قَد سُقينَ المِسكَ مِنهُ
مَساويكُ البَشامِ وَمِن غُروبِ
From a mouth we were given musk to drink—
the tooth-sticks of the balsam tree—and from gleaming tooth-edges,
وَمِن مَجرى غَوارِبِ أُقحُوانٍ
شَتيتِ النَبتِ في عامٍ خَصيبِ
and from the channel of chamomile crests,
of scattered growth in a fertile year.
