O quarter which has changed desolation

To a refuge, now not devoid

The scent of musk prevails in it, only

Due to musk, should its train pass by

Neither water of lofty mountains is Muzain

Nor are their valleys filled with bees

Sweeter than the words you said after

The camel litter took its place on the saddle

No meadow with lingering sorrow is its abode

Sheltering it from garment’s marks or settled abodes

Sweeter than spices of perfumed Buthaina

Nay, but Ri’yah holds precedence over the meadow
