Do not break my ropes, O camel, for I

Am flowers atop the saddlebags, enduring.

Though I stand at the slope of tears you see,

I’m leather on my lover’s saddle, enduring.

I lit a fire with my tears for he who forsook me,

Keenly aware of the barbs in my eyes.

It lit up the desolate wilderness for us

Yet with company it grazes like they grazed, advancing.
