From the shining white garments her color is pure
She charges a foe who finds no fault in her
So a sword flash between the two hosts has not glanced
Brighter than her, then she wheeled about showing her back
"Better than this have we," she said "and among us
Are louts who fear our mischief and trouble"
You relied upon us, then spurned us for others
Till the day each soul shall meet its beloved
I wished, but wishing avails not, that I
Were destined for her, when she was destined for me
