سَقَى وَارِداتٍ وَالقَلِيبَ وَلَعْلعا
مُلِثٌّ سِماكِيٌّ فَهَضْبَةَ أيْهَبَا
He watered the maidens and the heart was stirred
A fleshy, sturdy youth then roamed the dunes
فَمَرَّ على الخَبْتَينِ خَبْتَيْ عُنَيْزَةٍ
فَذَاتِ النِّقاعِ فانْتَحَى وَتَصَوَّبا
He passed by two low rises in Unayzah
With prominent hips then straightened and drew near
فَلَمّا تَدَلّى مِنْ أعالِي طَمِيّةٍ
أبَسَّتْ بِهِ رِيحُ الصَّبا فَتَحَلَّبا
When he descended from lofty Tamiyyah’s heights
The north wind tousled him, so he wavered
