Oh eye, weep for me bitterly
And weep for the departed kings
Kings from the sons of Hujr ibn Amr
Led in the evening, slaughtered
If only on a day of battle they were struck
But in the abodes of the tribe of Marīna
Their skulls were not washed with water
But clotted with blood they were smeared
The birds hover over them
Plucking out the eyebrows and the eyes
