By Allah, my elder will not go in vain
Until I slay Malik and his followers
The killers of the king in succession
A Ma’addite noble in descent and feats
Oh, the anguish of Hind when her protectors erred
We brought the caravans with bounty
Bearing us along with the docile camels
With swift, sturdy she-camels flecked with pebbles
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
The latter ones rouse the early starters
