Oh bliss, woe is me because of you, oh cruel one
You have tortured me unjustly, enough of what is in it
I see you three times a day, yet
I get nothing but the cold glance
By Allah, if you knew my story
You would not then be pleased with my state
Rather you would be a helper for me in my estrangement
And you would be merciful to my pain
You were sick for days and did not appear
In them my innermost being remained bleak
I ask people about you, inquiring
And humbly pray for your well-being
Until when you shone, oh my wish
God lightened my afflictions for me
Good tidings, oh my heart, for she has awoken
Going again to her playground
A queen among her friends
I wish I was among the attendants
Oh rose sending its lights
Abundantly upon the universe from the highlands
Oh mistress of the handkerchief, from under it
A spring of beauty, pure and unsullied
I implore you by Islam, do not kill
Your brother in your religion, oh cruel one
