أحرارنَا قد كشفتم عن بطولتكم

غظاءَ ها يوم توقيع الكفالاتِ

Our freemen, you have revealed your heroism

On the day of signing pledges boastfully

أنتم رجال خطابات منمَّقةٍ

كما علمنا وأبطال احتجاجاتِ

You are men of polished speeches

As we know, and heroes of protests

وقد شبعتم ظهوراً في مظاهرةٍ

مشروعةٍ وسكرتم بالهتافاتِ

And you have had your fill of appearing at a

Legitimate demonstration and got drunk on chants

ولو أُصيب بجرحٍ بعضُكم خطاً

فيها إذاً لرتعتم بالحفاواتِ

And if some of you got scratched accidentally

You would then be pampered with care

بل حكمةُ اللهِ كانت في سلامتكم

لأَنكم غير أهل للشهاداتِ

But the wisdom of God was in keeping you safe

For you are not worthy of martyrdom

أضحتْ فلسطينُ من غيظ تصيح بكم

خلوا الطريق فلستم من رجالاتي

Palestine now screams at you in rage

Get out of the way, you are not of my men

ذاك السجين الذي أغلى كرامته

فداؤه كل طلاّب الزعاماتِ

That prisoner who held his dignity most dear

His ransom is all who seek leadership
