1. كَفْكِفْ دموعَكَ ليس ين

    فَعُكَ البكاءُ ولا العويل

    Curb your tears, crying and wailing will not avail

    Rise up and do not complain of fate, only the indolent complain

  2. وانهضْ ولا تشكُ الزما

    نَ فما شكا إلاَّ الكسول

    Take the path of determination, and do not say "How is the path?"

    No one with hope who strives goes astray

  3. واسلكُ بهمَّتِكَ السَّبي

    لَ ولا تقلْ كيف السَّبيلُ

    Not at all, no one with a noble goal fails

    You have wasted your life in wandering and sorrow

  4. ما ضَلَّ ذو أملٍ سَعى

    يوماً وحكمتهُ الدَّليلُ

    And sat with folded arms saying time has fought me

    Why didn't you take on the burden yourself then? Who will take it on?

  5. كلاَّ ولا خاب امرؤٌ

    يوماً ومقصْدهُ نبيلُ

    How much you blamed the country's ills while you are one of its illnesses

    Misfortune is its ailment, did you look for its symptoms?

  6. أْفنَيْتَ يا مسكيُن عُم

    رَكَ بالتَّاوُّهِ والحزَنْ

    O you who wield the axe to destroy it atop its ruins

    Sit down, you are not the one to work for its revival

  7. وقعدتَ مكتوفَ اليديْ

    ن تقولُ حاربني الزَّمنْ

    And look with your bleary eyes that toil in its ponds

    A country bought and sold, may the country revive

  8. ما لمْ تقمْ بالعبئِ أن

    تَ فَمَنْ يقوم به إذن

    Had you wanted its good you'd have given your blood as its price

    And bandaged its wounds if you were one of the wise

  9. كم قلتَ أمراض البلا

    د وأنتَ من أمراضها

    Pessimism has become inherent in your talk

    Like the crow croaking omens, making the world hear its cawing

  10. والشؤم علتها فهل

    فتشت عن أعراضها

    That is the truth, and the sick at heart are wounded by the truth

    A hope's glimmer beckons, so take this glimmer as your guide

  11. يا مَنْ حملْتتَ الفأْسَ ته

    دِمها على أنْقاضِها

    Your livelihood would not have narrowed had you strived for it

    Even if you did not complain of its narrowness

  12. أُقعدْ فما أنتَ الذي

    يَسْعى إلى إنهاضها

    But you imagined debility so imagination made the body sick

    And thought you had weakened, so weakness crept into the bone

  13. وانظرْ بعينيْك الذئا

    ب تعُبُّ في أحواضها

    God, then God again! How fine concord and agreement are

    Blessed conference, united without discord or conflict

  14. وطنٌ يُباعُ ويُشترى

    وتصيحُ فليحيَ الوطنْ

    How many hearts have softened in it that were not soft before

    Today, thanks to you, my homeland drinks the cup of joy untroubled

  15. لو كنتَ تبغي خيْرَهُ

    لبذلتَ من دمِك الثمنْ

    Pay the troublemakers no mind, you see their faces contorted

    There must be a contemptible group that delights in sedition

  16. ولقمتَ تضْمِدُ جرحهُ

    لو كنتَ من أهلِ الفطنْ

    Those souls nourished from childhood on that milk

    Raised on love of wrangling, and that rancor nursed them

  17. أضحى التشاؤُمُ في حدي

    ثك بالغريزَةِ والسَّليقهْ

    Pay the alarmists no heed, their steeds are insignificant

    Love of appearing better than people stems from arrogance

  18. مِثل الغرابِ نَعى الدّياَ

    ر وأسْمَعَ الدّنيا نعيقَهْ

    What is not a merit that adorns you, appearing is corruption

    Walk with God's eye, that great hope

  19. تِلكَ الحقيقةُ والمريضُ

    القلبِ تجرُحهُ الحقيقةْ

    Walk on, hearts have been purified, blessed are those hearts

    Walk on, your way is the best way for your country's good

  20. أملٌ يلوحُ بريقهُ

    فَاستَهْدِ يا هذا بَريقَهْ

    Cement affection, concord, and optimism as one

    Have no fear if building relies on virtue and leans on it

  21. ما ضاقَ عيشك لو سعي

    ت له ولوْ لمْ تشْكُ ضِيقَهْ

    Hail the youth and say, greetings, you are tomorrow's hope

    Your resolutions are firm to rebuff the transgressing wicked

  22. لكِنْ تَوَهَّمْتَ السَّقا

    م فأسقمَ الوهْمُ البدنْ

    And God has extended a hand for you that rises over the strongest hand

    My homeland, I send the youth to you like fresh flowers

  23. وظننْتَ أنَّكَ قَدْ وَهَن

    ت فَدَبَّ في العظم الوهنْ

    There must come a fruit one day, though not yet in bud

    Its basil is proper knowledge and its spirit good morals

  24. اللهَ ثم أللهَ ما أْح

    لى التَّضاُمنَ و الوفاقا

    My homeland, my heart is mortgaged, homeland, in love of you

    It will not settle, and if you obtain what you want of it, it will settle

  25. بوركْتَ مَؤتْمراً تأَّل

    لف لا نزاعَ ولا شقاقا

  26. كْم مِنْ فؤادٍ راقَ في

    ه ولم يكنْ مِنْ قبلُ راقا

  27. اليومَ يشربُ موطني

    كأسَ الهناءِ لكمْ دهاقا

  28. لا تعبأوا بمشاغبي

    ن ترون أوْجههَم صِفاقاً

  29. لا بُدَّ من فِئةٍ أُجِل

    لكُمُ تَلَذُّ لها الفِتَنْ

  30. تلك النفوسُ مِنَ الُّطفو

    لة أُرْضعَتْ ذاكَ اللَّبنْ

  31. نَشأت على حُبِّ الخِصا

    م وبات يَرعْاها الضَّغَنْ

  32. لا تَحْفِلوا بالمرْجفي

    ن فإنَّ مَطْيَهمْ حقيرُ

  33. حُبُّ الظهورِ على ظهو

    ر الناسِ مَنْشَأُه الغرورُ

  34. ما لمْ يكنْ فَضْلٌ يَزي

    نك فالظُّورُ هو الفجورُ

  35. سيروا بعيْن اللهِ أنتمْ

    ذلكَ الأّملُ الكبيرُ

  36. سيروا فقدْ صَفَت الصُّدورُ

    تباركَتْ تلكَ الصُّدورُ

  37. سيروا فَسُنَّتكُمْ لخْي

    ر بلادكُمْ خَيْرُ السُّنَنْ

  38. شدُّوا المودَّة والتآَ

    لف والتَّفاؤُلَ في قَرَنْ

  39. لا خوْفَ إنْ قامَ البِنا

    ء على الفضيلةِ وارتكنْ

  40. حيَّ الشبابَ وقُلْ سلا

    ما إنَّكُمْ أَملُ الغَدِ

  41. صَحَّتْ عزائمكُمْ على

    دْفعِ الأَثيمِ المعْتدي

  42. واللهُ مَدَّ لكُمْ يداً

    تَعْلو على أقوى يدِ

  43. وطني أزُفُّ لكَ الشَّبا

    ب كأَّنهُ الزَّهَرُ النَّدي

  44. لا بُدَّ مِن ثَمرٍ لهُ

    يُوْماً وإنْ لمْ يَعْقِدِ

  45. ريْحانُهُ العِلمُ الصَّحي

    ح وروُحهُ الخلْقُ الحسنْ

  46. وطَني وإنَّ القَلْبَ يا

    وَطني بِحبَّكَ مُرْتَهَنْ

  47. لا يَطمَئِنَّ فَإنْ ظَفِرْ

    ت بما يُريدُ لكَ اطمأنْ
