وخلتُ عالَمَ حسنِكِ الفتانِ

I parted from our world and shunned its worries

And entered the alluring world of your beauty

فنسيتُ آبادَ الحياةِ وطولَها

وعرفتُ أنَّ الخلدَ بضعُ ثوانِ

So I forgot the flourishing life and its length

And knew that eternity lasts but moments
