يبدو بهاتِيكَ الصور

سلي شجونَكِ بالنجو

لح في سمائِكَ للعيو

نِ أو اختبئ بين الشجر

Reveal yourself to eyes in your skies

Or hide among the trees

أنا لا أبالي بالضيا

ءِ على جوانبكِ انتشر

I do not care about the light

Spreading on your sides

يمتدُّ في الآفاقِ أو

يثوي على وجه الغُدُر

Extending on the horizons or

Settling on the face of betrayal

قل لي وأنتَ خزانةٌ

في طيِّها الغيبُ استتر

Tell me, you who are a treasury

In whose folds the unseen is hidden

ليلَى لقد زارَ البلى

قلبي وطيفُكِ لم يَزُر

Laila, time has visited

My heart yet your image has not visited

عصفت رياحُ الهجر من

كِ وأنتِ أقسى مَن هَجَر

The winds of separation have blown from you

And you are harsher than one who separates

وهواكِ حول كيانه

لهبٌ يقيه من الغِيَر

And your love around his being

Is a flame protecting him from others

لهبٌ تُضاعِفُه الريا

حُ فكلما بِنتِ استمر

A flame multiplied by the winds

So the more they build, the more it continues
