O my solitude, I came here to forget, yet

I still hear echoes and voices.

No matter how I insist on ignoring them, they keep calling,

O you poor fleeing one, never!

Desires have drawn me into their ignorant ways,

And gathered memories that were once scattered.

How absurd is this great solitude and how lost it is

When the voices have brought back what is past.

They resurrected what was folded in its grave,

And did not cease until the dead came back to life.

The heart roams wounded in its solitude,

And where is its solitude? It passed the night as it did.

Until, finding no respite or contentment,

It surrendered to truncated hope, and was sustained.
