O welcome the rose in its prime,

And the procession of hopes in its garden.

O delight for the eye in its appearance,

The eyes never tire of its kindness.

Tell me, are these tears a wanderer?

Watering the tender spring from its branches?

Wondrous is he, beauty fills his eyes,

He cries for you while you're in his arms.

I saw you after the youth had passed,

So the prime of life wept for its spring.

I saw your wedding in its intimate joy,

The birds chirping on its branches.

So my soul glanced, hoping for a drop

From his cup, or a pause by his side.
