عش مديدا وجدد

واعل والمع كفرقد

Live long and renew

Be high and gather like scattered pearls

لو رأى الحق عبده

وهو بالحق يهتدي

If the Lord saw his servant

And he is guided by the truth

وعلى الحق رائحاً

وعلى الحق يغتدي

And heading towards the truth

And transgressing on the truth

بسط التاج باليد

قائلاً قم تقلدِ

He spread the crown with his hand

Saying, rise and wear it

قم تقلَّد تقلدِ

يا أميري وسيدي

Rise, wear it, wear it

My prince and master

وبإيمان ركع

وتسابيح سجد

And bowed with faith

And prostrated with praises

بايع الحق عبده

والبرايا بمشهد

The servant pledged allegiance to the truth

With the plains as witness

انظر الساح داوياً

بالنداء المردد

See the plains calling

With the recurring call

انظر البحر زاخراً

بالشباب المجند

See the sea teeming

With the mobilized youth

حمدوا فيك يومهم

مشرئبين للغد

They praised your day

Yearning for tomorrow

عش مديدا لتبتني

كل صرح ممرد

Live long to rebuild

Every towering edifice

فلك الرأي قاطعاً

ما به من تردد

Your opinion is decisive

Without any hesitation

يهدأ السيف في القراب

ويثوى بمرقد

The sword rests in the scabbard

And settles in its sheath

ولك السيف ساهراً

يقظاً غير مغمد

But your sword remains alert

Awake, not sheathed

خذ بياناً نظمته

شبه عقد منضد

Take this poem I composed

Like a string of pearls

ما به من تزلف

جل شعري ومقصدي

It is free of flattery

All my poetry and purpose

خالد أنت بالعلى

والفعال المسدد

You are immortal in the highest realm

With precise deeds

فتقبل على المدى

كل شعر مخلد

So accept for eternity
