1. أهب ببيانِكَ الصافي تدفق

    وقف بالقدس واهتف في رباهُ

    Send forth your eloquent outpouring

    And stand in Jerusalem proclaiming it

  2. وقم نقضي الحقوقَ إذا دعينا

    أليسَ الشرق يجمعنا حِمَاهُ

    We shall secure rights if we are called

    Is not the East our protective shelter?

  3. سلام الله من أبناءِ مصر

    إلى أرض البسالة والفتوَّة

    Greetings of God from Egypt's children

    To the land of bravery and chivalry

  4. من المهدِ الذي هز البرايا

    إلى مهدِ القداسة والنبوَّة

    From the cradle that shook the wilds

    To the cradle of holiness and prophecy

  5. من الوطنِ الكريمِ على الليالي

    إلى الوطنِ الكريمِ على الجوارِ

    From the noble homeland throughout the nights

    To the noble homeland throughout the neighborhood

  6. من الوادي الخصيبِ بلا نظير

    إلى الوادي المكلّلِ بالوقارِ

    From the peerless fertile valley

    To the valley crowned with dignity

  7. وقد رقَّت حواشيه إلى أن

    رأيتُ الطودَ يخضرُّ اخضرارَا

    Its edges had softened until

    I saw the mountain turn green

  8. لقد فاضَ الجلالُ عليه حتى

    كأن عليه من نورٍ إزارَا

    Grandeur overflowed upon it as though

    It wore a gown of light

  9. تهبُّ به النسائمُ ساحراتٍ

    كأنَّ أريجَها أنفاسُ موسَى

    The enchanting winds blow upon it

    As though their scent were Moses' breath

  10. وتأتلق الحياةُ على الروابي

    كأنَّ على الربى كفّ عيسى

    And life shimmers on the hilltops

    As though Jesus' palm were on the land

  11. وتنظر روعةَ الإِسلام فيه

    وقد غَمَرَ المدائنَ واليبابَا

    And you see the glory of Islam in it

    Having flooded the cities and expanses

  12. فحيث تديرُ في الأنحاءِ عيناً

    فنورُ محمد ملأ الرحابَا

    So wherever you turn your eyes around

    Muhammad's light filled the spaces

  13. حللنا في ذراكم يومَ عيدٍ

    بعدنا فيه عن مصر مزارَا

    We celebrated in your homeland one feast day

    After we had parted from Egypt on a visit

  14. فألفينا لديكم ألفَ عيدٍ

    تُنَسّينا الأحبةَ والديارَا

    We found with you a thousand feasts

    That made us forget loved ones and homes

  15. وكم عبرت بلا فرحٍ ليالٍ

    وكم بالله أعيادٌ تمرُّ

    How many cheerless nights have passed

    And how many festivals pass by unseen by God

  16. وكيفَ تطيب أعيادٌ وتحلو

    لصادٍ والفمُ المحروم مُرُّ

    How can feasts be sweet and pleasing

    To one whose mouth is forbidden and bitter?

  17. وكيف تطيب أعيادٌ وتحلو

    إذا عزَّ التعاهدُ واللقاءُ

    How can feasts be sweet and pleasing

    When visiting and gathering are difficult?

  18. فإن العيدَّ عيدٌ يومَ تدنو

    ويجمعنا التفاهمُ والإِخاءُ

    For a feast is a feast the day

    When understanding and brotherhood bring us close

  19. بني القدس التفت فسر قلبي

    جهودٌ بالشدائِد لا تبالي

    My Jerusalem folk, my heart appealed

    With perseverance through adversities unconcerned

  20. أرى روحَ الحياة تفيض فيكم

    وعزمكمو يفيض على الليالي

    I see the spirit of life overflowing in you

    And your determination overflowing over the nights

  21. أرى أملاً وقلباً حيث أمشي

    وأعثر بالحياة إذا التقيتُ

    I find hope and heart wherever I walk

    And I stumble upon life when I meet you

  22. إلى أن قالَ قائلكم لديكم

    بأقصى الأرض بحرٌ وهو مَيتُ

    Until one of you told me you have

    At the edge of the earth a sea, and it is dead

  23. خرجنا أمس في ركبٍ جليلٍ

    نؤدي للمنية ما علينا

    We went out yesterday in a great caravan

    To fulfill what was required of us

  24. فلما أن بلغناه جميعاً

    وقر الركب عند الشطِّ عينَا

    But when we had all reached it

    And the caravan stopped at the seashore

  25. عجبتُ لمن يسمي ذاك مَيتاً

    وقلتُ يمين ربي ذا افتئاتُ

    I wondered at one who calls this dead

    And I said, by my Lord this is shameful

  26. أميتُ من يحيينا ابتساماً

    وتشرقُ في جوانبه الحياةُ

    Should I call dead one who revives us smiling

    And on its flanks life shines?

  27. نزلنا فارحين على ذراهُ

    فراشاتٍ تحومُ فيه وَثبَا

    We alighted happily on its banks

    Butterflies hovering and hopping

  28. يكاد المرءُ يشربه سروراً

    كأن الملحَ فيه صارَ عَذبَا

    One could almost drink it in delight

    As though its salt had turned to sweet

  29. أراغب قمتُ أهدي عن عليّ

    تحياتِ الكريمِ إلى الكريمِ

    Longing, I rose to convey from me

    The generous one's greetings to the generous

  30. وإن أشكر يداً لك وَهيَ تسدي

    فتلكَ يدُ العظيمِ إلى العظيمِ

    And if I thank a hand of yours extended

    It is the great one's to the great
